We're halfway! Woot Woot!
Tonight's class was on teaching children to manage behaviors. Tonight's class was the best one yet. It kept my attention and I didn't find myself bored and annoyed. Wanna know my secret? I ate a cadbury egg right before class. Yup, I think that is the key to world peace...cadbury eggs.
We have our first home visit for the home study next Wednesday (eek!), so this weekend will be spent 'cramming' in things like putting in extra smoke detectors and such.
I was over at Kidz today and on Tuesdays she asks for blog post links about "inspiring" posts. I searched through my recent blog posts and thought, huh, I haven't written anything "inspiring" in awhile. It seems that the adoption process has consumed us at the moment. But since then I've been thinking, you know, some people might consider our adoption process "inspiring". What do you think?
Oh, and Josh and I have started 'looking' for potential daughters and have our eye on one or two that one of our class leaders is going to look into for us tomorrow! Guess what? She has bright red hair just like me!
(But, I won't get my hopes up.)
OH! And this just in! We *thought* we were part of the new class of foster-to-adopt parents that now has to pay the 'normal' adoption fees...BUT we made it in under the cutoff and DON'T have to pay $7,000-$8,000!!! Yay!!!! Phew!!! We DO however need a few thousand dollars for attorney fees and travel fees, SO I will be holding one more raffle ticket giveaway to hopefully raise the rest of the money we'll need! What a relief! I've totally been stressing about coming up with thousands and thousands of dollars.
